Newborn photography has really become popular in the past few years.
Every mum wants to have those cute photos of their sleepy baby. It’s nearly a must-to-do thing!
So what does everyone do? Jump on Google, our best friend for everything today, and start typing: newborn photographer London, newborn photographer near me, newborn photos and your specific area. Of course, straight away you will be presented with a list of hundreds of photographers and you realise there are so many newborn photographers in London! So how do you choose?
You start browsing a few websites and you might think they all look the same so it can be quite confusing if you are not sure what you are looking for. Not every photographer is the same and not every photographer has the necessary experience.
Digital photography is so cheap and accessible now. Today all of us carry a camera all the time – on mobile phones and tablets. Even Digital SLR cameras are relatively cheap and accessible to the general public. But does owning a good camera automatically make you a good photographer? Trusting your cousin or friend because they have a “good” camera doesn’t guarantee you to have good photos of your newborn. And the issue is that babies do grow quickly so you won’t have many chances to capture your tiny baby.
Why should you hire a professional Newborn Photographer?
Newborn photographers are more than just photographers.
They are trained to deal with little babies. They know how to calm and soothe them, they know how to safely handle and pose them. On the web you see lots of baby images and parents often don’t know how those photos are created. Some of them require image to be composed in post production to be executed safely.
They learn about newborn startle reflexes, poor circulations, weak muscle control, body temperature . . .
During a newborn session, the photographer will be hands on your baby most of time for soothing and posing. I’m sure you want to have someone who knows what is doing 😉
