I love maternity photography outdoors, especially when there is already a child.
Children are happier because they are free to run around and be themselves and mums are usually more relaxed as well. Yes, your child will not trash the whole place!
With this family, we went to Clapham Common as it was their local park. We had a little walk and stopped here and there for some photos. As a London photographer, I go quite frequently in that park so I know what corners can work well or not.
A maternity session is not just about the bump. I mean maternity photography focuses mainly on capturing the beauty and joy of pregnancy. However, it’s also about relationships, family, and creating a legacy. It’s the making of a new story with a new little human.
