A couple of weeks ago I went to photograph a beautiful mum-to-be in Greenwich.
I met her 6 years ago in Australia when we were both backpacking and partying down-under. A totally different life back then . . . I would have never thought of seeing each other again in London a few years later. Me, with a daughter of almost 2 years old and her pregnant with her first girl too!
I wrote about my travels on a blog called “What a beautiful life” but I can say that life is even more beautiful now, this blog should be called like that 🙂 A child is so much joy!!
I was very happy to see her and honoured to create a memory she will enjoy forever. She had, unfortunately, a difficult pregnancy and the session was a bit hard for her. I travelled to Greenwich, where she lives, and she was so uncomfortable that we couldn’t reach the park we planned to go to for her outdoor pregnancy photos.
So it was a last-minute decision to go literally downstairs. There was a very small park just under her building. I wish I had taken a photo of behind the scenes to understand how small the place was. And probably not the place you would choose for outdoor pregnancy photos. But there was no alternative, other than calling off the shoot that she really wanted.
We finish early, I took fewer photos than I normally would but I think there are some great shots anyway. Well done Amparo. I’m looking forward to meeting the little baby girl now!
I think, by looking at these photos, you couldn’t say she wasn’t feeling well.
